[ooc: As a warning, this post contains cannibalism, blood, and all that stuff, though nothing especially descriptive.]

[The feed turns on to reveal a figure, sopping wet. A newcomer—nothing usual in itself. What might be of more interest, however, is the fact that he appears somewhat battered, with the blood running down his face making it clear that he's been injured recently.

Unsurprisingly, he seems rather disoriented as he looks around, taking in his surroundings before wiping away at the blood running over his eyes. An annoyed look passes through his face, and then—

—And then things take a turn for the unusual, as his eyes glow red and he then proceeds to grab the head of the nearest unsuspecting local.

Fortunately, his back is to his feed, his body hiding the local's, so the... gorier details can't be seen, though the blood flying from roughly where the poor person's head should be is likely a good indicator of what's going on. The sounds, at least, should make it even clearer.

Finally, he drops the now quite dead local to the ground with a thud, before turning in the direction of the SFC, his eyes back to their normal blue. The more observant might notice that he no longer seems wounded, his injuries healed.

There is also, rather prominently, far more blood splattered across his face, which he wipes at with his sleeve, leaving behind red smears.

A smirk, before he speaks.]

Well then... I suppose I should figure out where I am.

[And then his expression becomes serious, as he mutters to himself.]

I won't if you won't tell me. I mean...you don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but I definitely won't be able to understand if that's the case.

Tell me, then... does the term 'God's Eyes' mean anything to you?

[...'cursed eyes'. Well...no, he doesn't know what it means, but he can piece things together. Whatever it is, it is something Minato can assume brought upon persecution, huh? "Cursed Eyes" is hardly a flattering set of words by any stretch of the imagination.

I'm not familiar with the terms, no. Do you have the God's Eyes, then?

[He really, earnestly just wants to understand.]

[His smirk simply widens, as his eyes turn black with a red cross over each one—before they flash red.]

Isn't it obvious?

...I see. Then...people used that as reason to persecute you...?

[At that, they fade back into their normal blue.]

You catch on quickly.

It's a very human thing to be afraid by what is unknown. It doesn't excuse their treatment of you, though.

[He simply shakes his head at that.]

I'm aware it's meaningless coming from just one person--but I am sorry for what my race has put you through.

You would be correct. That kind of thing—it doesn't mean a thing to me. They're merely pretty words that don't change a single thing.

[A sad nod. Well...alright. He accepts that.]

They don't change anything. But I did want you to know.

While you and I are both here, at least, I can try to change people's minds.

[He's already trying to think of ways. Because he really does believe Tiir deserves an equal chance as everyone else here.]

Truly, truly such naive ideals. It doesn't matter how hard you try. Humans... they don't change.

[By this point, he doesn't even care about coexistence anymore.]

But that's not true. People are changing all the time--humans and otherwise. I've seen it happen.

And nothing is hopeless.

And though you may say that, I've yet to see proof of such a thing. Again, such decorated words hold no meaning for me.

Then I have to ask--

Have you been willing to look for it?

What reason do I have to?

Then what reason do humans have to change?

I do believe that you have been unfairly treated. But the answer to that is not to act unfairly towards others. What would that accomplish?

If you want change, you're going to have to give us the chance to change.

I want to understand. I won't be able to unless I try to learn.

What does the attempt of one human trying to understand do for me? Not much at all, you realize.

No. Not much. But every change begins small. Don't give up so quickly.

At the very least, I want to understand better, so I don't make the same mistakes other humans have made towards you.

The fact that you need to ask and 'understand' already shows how pitiful this attempt of yours is.

I need to ask because I wouldn't presume to understand everything, when I have only my own perspective to depend on. It's not ignorance to ask for another's views.

It's hardly so complicated in this case. And so, as I said, the fact you seem to view it as so doesn't speak very well of yourself.

But I would still like to understand your viewpoint, and your perspective.
