[ooc: As a warning, this post contains cannibalism, blood, and all that stuff, though nothing especially descriptive.]
[The feed turns on to reveal a figure, sopping wet. A newcomer—nothing usual in itself. What might be of more interest, however, is the fact that he appears somewhat battered, with the blood running down his face making it clear that he's been injured recently.
Unsurprisingly, he seems rather disoriented as he looks around, taking in his surroundings before wiping away at the blood running over his eyes. An annoyed look passes through his face, and then—
—And then things take a turn for the unusual, as his eyes glow red and he then proceeds to grab the head of the nearest unsuspecting local.
Fortunately, his back is to his feed, his body hiding the local's, so the... gorier details can't be seen, though the blood flying from roughly where the poor person's head should be is likely a good indicator of what's going on. The sounds, at least, should make it even clearer.
Finally, he drops the now quite dead local to the ground with a thud, before turning in the direction of the SFC, his eyes back to their normal blue. The more observant might notice that he no longer seems wounded, his injuries healed.
There is also, rather prominently, far more blood splattered across his face, which he wipes at with his sleeve, leaving behind red smears.
A smirk, before he speaks.]
Well then... I suppose I should figure out where I am.
[And then his expression becomes serious, as he mutters to himself.]
If this is Gastark's doing...

Aside from those, you... You can try touching the coral in the plaza. The coral, Lamufao, actually has strange powers. It can heal and even regenerate those who touch it.
I don't think it's a guaranteed solution... But, you might as well try sometime. You'll be needing to touch it at least once a week, anyway.
The foreigners who are present here all need to, or they will feel drained over time and eventually very sick.

In order to regenerate the lost energy, we need to touch Lamufao.

To keep the water out, I assume? I suppose it's a better fate than drowning. Still, to be used like this...

But, that was proven otherwise with the curses. One time, zombie mermaids passed through it. A pirate ship's remains is another proof that there are those who or which can still break through it.
We also... spotted a local that dived in and out of it.
No foreigner has ever broken out of that barrier before, though.

[Don't mind Tiir, Red—he's just muttering to himself.]

None of us know what they're really after... More than a year ago, there was a stolen document mentioning that we're guinea pigs for them.
Unfortunately, it was only one or two pages, and it didn't mention anything else useful.

[He really does not appreciate being used like this, can you tell.]

I could tell my insights, but I don't wish to keep you for too long.

I know they're not particularly useful... They're just little things I noticed over the year that I've been here.

If they're truly so 'little', then there was hardly a point in mentioning them.

I only try to collect as much information as possible...
We get enough of a hard time as it is. That's why, even if they're just little things, I keep a note of each one. And, maybe... they'll be able to be of some use someday.

Hmm. Well, I suppose when you put it like that, there might be some value to your words.

[Though, Tiir is pretty cute. He's kind of indecisive and it almost feels like he does need someone to look after him despite how strong he looks.]
... Then, maybe after you rest a little more, I can try to share my journal with you sometime.
It would be best to find shelter while it's early. It gets pretty cold at night.

... Sob Red what kind of things go through your head—]
Does it now? I suppose I'll take your advice, then.
[Yeaaaah time to go apartment-hop because old habits die hard.]
